Chelates are chemicals that form soluble, complex molecules with certain metal ions, inactivating the ions so that they cannot normally react with other elements or ions to produce precipitates or scale. Chelation therapy is the use of chelating agents to detoxify poisonous metal agents such as mercury, arsenic, and lead by converting them to a chemically inert form that can be excreted without further interaction with the body.

Toxic metals are metals that form poisonous soluble compounds and have no biological role, i.e. are not essential minerals, or are in the wrong form. Often heavy metals are thought as synonymous, but lighter metals also have toxicity, such as beryllium, and not all heavy metals are particularly toxic, and some are essential, such as iron. The definition may also include trace elements when considered in abnormally high, toxic doses. A difference is that there is no beneficial dose for a toxic metal with no biological role. Examples are antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, cadmium, lead, lanthanoids, mercury, osmium, thallium, vanadium, actinium, thorium, uranium, radium, transuraniums, polonium, radioactive isotopes of metallic elements, and aluminum.

We do not suggest taking any of our cleanses together or at the same time. We suggest waiting between 3-4 weeks between cleanses to give your body a break from the cleansing process.
